In mid-November, Constant Contact held its Innovation Jam & first API Hack at our Waltham, MA site. The overall goal of the event was to inspire our developers to innovate and solve small business challenges using APIs.
The Hack began with demos from our API friends Twilio and WePay. Following the demos, Dave Berard, our API Product Manager gave a demonstration of the Constant Contact API, and then the Hack officially began. For two days, the Great conference room was filled with food and drinks and elbow-to-elbow developers all working on projects, presenting work, and sharing tips on the most effective and creative API solutions.
App Demos
While the Hack was underway, Constant Contact partners demoed 5 of the hottest and most innovative apps used by our customers. The apps, which all integrate with Constant Contact through the APIs, included Digioh, Xydo, iCapture, Viewbix and Qwiqq.
Winners
The two day Hack culminated with a “Science Fair” where innovation projects were on display and fair attendees got to vote for their favorites. The CardStar Connect team won the Grand Prize of $5000 cash for best use of the CTCT API. Congratulations to Andy, Chris, Danny, Gyuri, and Jill!
